Hide/Archive Workspaces that are no longer in use but want to keep the data1 vote
Provide the ability to cascade delete records. This is usually defined at the table level. For example deleting related projects when customer deleted.
By the way, zengine is really great!
Thanks, this is a good idea.
Build some basic functions around Dates that allow calculations to be done on Date Fields. Days(), Year(), Weekday(), etc
Looking to do basic date calculations like days(enddate) - days(startdate) = duration in days17 votes
We have some customers using custom plugins to accomplish this at the moment, and can help you do similar. Please email us for more information if you’re interested.
We still do have plans to add improved date calculations, but it doesn’t look like we will be able to release that until 2016.
It would be nice to have an additional text validation of URL or have a field type of URL.
For example I have a field for the company website . It would be nice to make sure this is in correct/valid URL format.1 vote
Thanks for the suggestion
I was originally going to make 2 workspaces: 1 for CRM and 1 for product/inventory tracking. The vendors of the products would ideally be available in my
1) general contacts
2) list of vendors for manufacturing
Is it possible to share a form between two workspaces? If not, it sounds like I should put all my shared data into 1 workspace, even if it is two completely different realms such as contact management and manufacturing.59 votes
Your thinking is exactly right on all fronts here. With the design of
workspaces it would be cleanest to keep different areas of your business in
different workspaces; so having contacts in one and vendors in another
would be great. But, as you pointed out we don’t currently allow the
lookups or links between workspaces (although it is something on our longer
term roadmap). As you suggested the workaround for now would be to put
them both in one workspace. Fortunately with our user roles you can create
any security you might want so only certain people can see certain tables
so although it would be a bit easier to organize if things were separate
having it all in one place should work fine.
It totally breaks up your train of thought to have to go into the right hand panel. I would really suggest inline editing with (right click pc, double click ipad) to access options for the field. This lack of inline edit is a dealbreaker for me. If you consider that please let me know.15 votes
Adding an inline editing option so that our system more closely resembles a spreadsheet is something we continue to discuss internally. We would love to hear from more users who are feeling a similar pain point, and who can show us how using the form to make edits slows down their workflow.
I have a form setup to track tasks for my project, because we track some custom data about each of the tasks. However, since the data is added as part of a form, and not as a task, I can't take advantage of the built in task list or seeing the tasks on the calendar.7 votes
If a field contains a URL, it would be great if we could optionally render that as an image in the grid and/or form.
Use case: A field that contains a URL to an image, but not an actual file upload1 vote
I want to be able to view a long text box field's data0 votes
We’re planning to allow you to save the column width really soon. We recognize that it would be easier to read the row’s data if the height was also adjustable, but for now you’ll have to click on the row to read it in the form builder
I want to be able to set a min or max value in a numeric filter0 votes
The API allows you to use min and max for a filter, but it has not been integrated into our front end data filter at this time.
I can't use the fields that I want in the record identifier (linked field, created date, calculated field). It would be better if this was more customizable0 votes
We realize this is still an area of concern for many of our users. You may want to check out the Linked Data Display plugin as a workaround: https://platform.zenginehq.com/account/plugins/257
